Capable of giving Hardware support for printers, monitors, Desktop PCs, Laptops. IT technical skills (network, Server HW, Server Operating system & application, Active Directory, MS Exchange 2003, hardware and software support) Server/client applications.
- Windows/Linux/Unix administration.
- Well versed about TCP/IP protocols.
- System troubleshooting.
- VoIP services and technologies used.
- Email, DNS, DHCP and other monitoring services.
Scheduling upgrades, backups and inventory management of hardware and software systems. Preferably having knowledge of Installation, Configuration, and troubleshooting of email Server, DHCP Server, MRTG, BIND(DNS/Named) Server, Squid Server, Samba Server, Apache Server, NIS Server, IP tables, Snort, Bandwidth Management tools and FTP Server on Linux, UNIX and windows platform.
User account management, e-mail systems including e-mail web server, internet access, office systems and applications support.
- Working knowledge of current communications devices and protocols, server and desktop technologies. Install new / manage existing servers and configure hardware, peripherals, services, settings, directories, storage, etc. in accordance with standards and project/operational requirements.
- Develop and maintain installation, configuration and management procedures.
- Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs such as backups.
- Apply OS patches and upgrades on a regular basis, and upgrade administrative tools and utilities.
- Configure / add new services as necessary.
- Responsible for providing system support, management of mail server, antivirus server, domain controller and file server. Monitoring and supervision of problem tracking software / help desk management software. Resource allocation with respect to work load. Plan software upgrades and preventive maintenance
